Industrial Automation Technology Diploma AMT2

The Industrial Automation Technology Diploma provides learning opportunities that introduce, develop and reinforce academic and technical skills required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement in the manufacturing industry. The instruction utilizes the combination of classroom theory, hands-on laboratory training, and problem-based learning to prepare students with both technical knowledge and a comprehensive practical foundation in the applications of industrial electrical, electrical motors, fluid power, mechanical, instrumentation, programmable controllers (PLC), and automation control systems used in modern manufacturing and production environments. Graduates of the program are prepared for employment as industrial electricians, automation maintenance technicians, or industrial systems technicians in a variety of manufacturing and production environments. Emphasis is placed on system operation, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to support reliable and efficient production processes.
