The Applied Robotics and Manufacturing Technology Diploma provides students with the technical knowledge and hands-on skills required to install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot robotic and automated manufacturing systems used in modern industry. The program emphasizes a balanced approach to robotics maintenance, automated system operation, and mechatronic system integration using mechanical, fluid power, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and automated control systems. Instruction combines classroom theory, laboratory training, and problem-based learning to develop competencies in system operation, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to support a safe, reliable, and efficient production processes. Students will build skills in industrial robotics, electrical systems, motor controls, sensors, machine vision, and mechanical systems, including robot programming, system integration, PLC designed automated systems, and performance analysis to improve efficiency and minimize downtime. The curriculum incorporates industry standards, safety practices, and emerging technologies associated with smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0, including data-driven troubleshooting and system monitoring.
