RNSG 1820 Nursing fo Adult Populations
Reinforces theory and fundamental nursing skills taught in Intro to Nursing Practice and introduces the student to the concepts of adult health nursing. The nursing process is used as a framework to organize content and deliver nursing care. Students use critical thinking as the basis for decisions regarding planning, interventions, and evaluation when caring for clients with medical-surgical disorders. Pharmacological principles are taught as they relate to the client. Simulated laboratory and clinical settings provide an opportunity to develop competency in nursing skills and caring in
nursing practice. Clinical opportunities are provided in various medical-surgical settings.
